Bought two spectacular books this past week. Both feature watercolor images, and both are extremely moving. The first is The Suitcase, a picture book by @chris.naylor.ballesteros On its surface, the book is a sweet story about being kind to newcomers. But the subtext is about the danger of harsh judgment and intolerance (the “stranger” is a refugee/immigrant). The other book showcases the watercolors of John Singer Sargent. I love the light he captured and the spontaneity of his loose brushwork. A true master! #amreading #watercolorart ...
